Inputs, field by field
Fill the essential fields first — they are all you need for a solid result. The 6 advanced fields are optional context tucked under an "Advanced context (optional)" disclosure: the more you add, the deeper and more tailored the analysis. The main input must be at least 20 characters or the run is blocked with "Add more detail to the main input for a high-quality analysis."
| Field | What to enter | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Competitor Information (main input) | List your main competitors with a line on each — what they offer, their pricing, and how they position. | Asana (broad PM), Monday (visual workflows), ClickUp (all-in-one, low price). |
| Your Business | Your own offering and how you position against these competitors. | A lightweight project tool built specifically for design agencies. |
| Industry | The category you all compete in. | Project management software. |
| Field | What to enter | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Your Pricing | Your price relative to theirs — central to positioning. | $99/mo vs their $149/mo. |
| Your Strengths | The areas where you already win. | Faster onboarding, better support, niche focus. |
| Your Differentiators | The capabilities or angles unique to you. | The only tool with native X integration. |
| Target Customer | The customer you compete over — sharpens the comparison. | Design agencies, 5–50 staff. |
| How They Market | Competitors’ go-to-market and channels. | Heavy SEO + paid search; large affiliate program. |
| Geography / Region | The geographies where you compete. | US-focused; they’re global. |
How to run it
- 1
Open Competitor Analyzer
Find it in the sidebar under the Marketing Intelligence suite, or from the dashboard.
- 2
Fill the essential fields
Be specific — vague inputs produce vague intelligence. Watch the character counter on long fields.
- 3
Add advanced context (optional)
Expand "Advanced context (optional)" and add whatever you know — competitors, constraints, metrics.
- 4
Choose visibility (in a Team/Agency/Enterprise scope)
Pick "Shared with team" (default) or "Private to me".
- 5
Click "Analyze Competitors (4 Tokens)"
The run costs 4 tokens. It typically completes in 30–60 seconds; the result saves automatically.
Reading the results
This is a strategic analysis: the Executive Summary leads, followed by the detailed sections as tabs.
Every result follows the universal section contract, so you always know where to look:
- Key Findings
- Strengths
- Weaknesses
- Opportunities
- Risks
- Recommendations
- Action Plan
- Next Steps
From the result you can Rerun, Share (copies formatted text), Delete, or export via Copy / TXT / CSV. PDF export is a Pro-plan feature. Everything you run is also kept in History.
Tips for a better analysis
- Write like you are briefing a sharp consultant: concrete numbers, real names, actual objections.
- Fill advanced fields when you have the data — they measurably deepen the output.
- Skim the Executive Summary first, then dive into Recommendations and the Action Plan.
- Re-run with tighter inputs if the first pass feels generic.
